Here's a reminder about coordinating synchronous group meetings.

Steps
AS A GROUP
- Choose an available topic from the above list. NOTE: A topic is available if there is no group name next to the topic.
- Begin your collaboration process for research. Here are a few tips for accomplishing this task:
- REQUIRED Use the assigned Google Doc as your collaboration document.
- The Instructor will e-mail the link for your group Google doc. This is what your group will use to do ALL of your work.
- Do NOT create other Google Docs to use for this research. You will be graded on the content in your assigned Google Doc only.
- Add the research topic and group member names to the Google doc no later than Wednesday, February 22, 2017.
- Schedule at least two or three synchronous meetings per week, outside of class.
- Here are basic steps to consider using for your research process:
- Choose your topic
- Locate relevant information (library, websites, experts, etc.)
- Evaluate the information (is it credible, relevant, current, etc.)
- Develop an outline
- Cite your sources

- Assign each group member a specific task in the research process. For example:
- Group member A is responsible for researching and collecting historical information on the topic;
- Group member B is responsible for researching and collecting current information on the topic;
- Group member C is responsible for determining the pros and cons for each topic;
- Each group member is responsible for properly citing their sources;
- The group is responsible for defining your position on the topic;
- and so forth.
- Develop an outline for your research. Follow the guideline listed below. DUE Sunday, March 7, 2017, 11:55 p.m.
- Intro
- State the focus of your research and a brief overview of the topic.
- Key Points
- At least three key points that describe the ethical issue.
- Pros (For) and Cons (Against)
- For each key point, describe the pros and cons of the ethical issue as it relates to technology with supporting information from your research.
- Your Position on the topic
- Describe your position and support your position with information from your research
- Summary/Conclusion
- Provide a review of your ethical issue topic and research.
- Works Cited
- Use UHMC library to access electronic resources.
- Visit the library.
- Search the Internet.
- Use the following resources for properly citing your sources in APA format.

- Use your outline and the information you gathered from your research to formulate how to present your research on a Webpage(s). Visit the Webpage Design page for more info.
